A Fool's Island.

He can't think like Piggy can.
He finds himself,
in the wearisomeness of this life,
with an assembly standing before him.

"this meeting must not be for fun"
the assembly standing before him,
are breaking apart.
Like small children,
they are.

"Don't you want to get out?"
Do they?
Does Jack?
The assembly remains silent.
For everyone is unsure,
and everything is uncertain.

"I know there is no beast",
the talk of fear,
consumes them.

Then, doubt once again.
Maybe there is a beast

Shut up,
sit down,
Fear envelops them.

They think of the beast from water
When
we should,
they should,
look at themselves.

Savages,
Children,
Fools.
